Good [morning|afternoon|evening]*!

Bye bye WIX, hello Google site! Not long ago, I reassessed how I was posting my art online. I realized I was simply wasting money on a fancy web host with pricy plans. Consequently, I decided to go for simpler and cheaper. As I already had a plan for my cloud data, I could just use it to host my website. To achieve that, I needed to migrate my website. Well, "migrate" is not the correct term: rather keeping the same content but redesigning and rebuilding from scratch on Google Sites. Surprisingly, it didn't take me as much time as I though it would. However, there has been some loss of functionalities. No more fancy blog, multi-language handling and (useless) Instagram feed. Instead, I recreated a simple blog and decided to go for English only, as it talks to a larger audience - although most of my comics are not translated to French. Instagram feeds won't be missed: they belong to Instagram anyway, not here. In my opinion, this v2 is much better. It's sober but cooler and clearer than it used to be. The comics and illustrations are displayed in less clicks and in a nicer way. And, believe it or not, recreating my website was pretty fun to do!

Regarding the content, it's the same but you might have missed a "Young Dreamer", as the link was broken on WIX for quite some time... It's a comics I made back in 2006, with many flaws I'm not too happy about, but it is really dear to me... At last, before this website adventure, I had been working on the next chapter of the Black Gem - pencil completion at 90%. Now that the new website is up and running, I could finally resume the drawing. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do.
